I’m Alana, a 24 year old baker & cake artist from Lancaster UK. I have my own beautiful cake unit in the heart of Lancaster city just by our train station. Here we make all our bespoke cakes and bakes. Everything we make is homemade with lots of love & some artistic flair. I started baking as a hobby in 2018 while I was still a haircolour technician. After a short while this soon became very popular and my skills in baking improved enough for me to take a big risk to leave my previous job as a hairstylist and open my very own cake studio to pursue my dream.

Wow! What more can I say! The cake tasted amazing and looked fantastic! Chocolate drip cake, 4 layer 6 inch chocolate sponge with caramel filling and buttercream. Double drip and topped with assorted chocolates, cookies & caramels! Everyone’s reaction was “wow”. Even when everyone had their first bite their reaction was “wow”. I was so pleased how it turned out 😊. My partner loved it! A little goes a long way too! The slices were HUGE! Doesn’t matter how small you cut it, the height of the cake means it’ll be a huge slice 😂. We had half a slice each, so there’s plenty of leftovers 😍

We always get our bespoke birthday cakes from Carter’s Cakes because they taste amazing and the attention to detail is unreal. Alana always goes above and beyond to make sure your cake looks exquisite and is exactly how you want. I’ve also tried many of her blondies, brownies and cupcakes and they are amazing too. Personal favourites are lemon and white choc blondie or white choc orange caramel. All delicious. Fantastic range of cake sams treats. Highly recommended.

They are always freshly baked. Delicious tasting and beautifully hand crafted. She’s so helpful and friendly and naturally gifted creatively. She always succeeds in creating personalised cakes at budgets to suit individual clients wants and needs.

Wow, wow, wow, what an amazing cake! Designed on a Star Wars theme and baked at Russell’s – it looked amazing and tasted fabulous too! Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you! You helped make our son’s 18th birthday really special.

I ordered a large 60th Birthday Cake from Becky on a Tuesday which I collected on the Saturday of the same week. I gave Becky a simple outline of what I wanted and she more than exceeded my expectations. The cake was a four layer chocolate sponge covered in vanilla buttercream and decorated in silver coloured bits and pieces with chocolates & Macarons. It was stunningly beautiful and more importantly the chocolate cake tasted deliciouS.

I’d ordered following a recommendation from a colleague, we were not disappointed. Cake was made to our request (we’d provided a terrible picture) and the cake was light, sweet and the best birthday cake. Thank you.

Hillary kindly stepped in to do our wedding cake with only 3 days notice after unfortunately our other supplier fell through. She went above and beyond to make sure our cake was everything we wanted and it definitely looked and tasted amazing! We can’t thank and recommend her enough.

They really are the most beautiful and pretty flower cupcakes I’ve ever seen and although we couldn’t celebrate her birthday in person, they certainly made it an extra special day.

Hilary was absolutely brilliant, we gave her an idea of what we wanted and she gave us something better than what we expected, the cake looked amazing, and on top of this the taste matched and was just as amazing, we had the lemon with lemon curd and icing and the chocolate salted caramel. Both of these flavours where absolutely amazing.
