Hi I’m Fil. I thought my life was mapped out and it wasn’t as a baker. Then my husband, Joe and I moved to Lancaster. After noticing I couldn’t find real bread like the beautiful, crusty loaves we ate from Borough Market, I became obsessed by trying to recreate artisan bread. I was driven by what I didn’t know and what I wanted to find out. I constantly sought new ways in the spirit of always doing it better. I lived and breathed baking bread. And we are proud to accept the challenge of baking for some of the food minorities amongst our customers, making dairy free pasties and sweet treats daily as well as cakes and bread using gluten free ingredients (on request).

The spiced Fruit bread and the Fig & fennel are among the finest breads we have had. The Cinnamon bun & Morecambe bun were flavourful as well. The overnight white is a normal bread but the croissant is flaky and just how its supposed to be. The quiche at the counter is worth a try as well.
Lovely people, so friendly. Make delicious bread and pastries. I absolutely love their olive bread. I could nom the whole loaf in a few minutes.
Bought mill bread, mushroom quiche, a piece of fruit crumble, and plum and and almond cake.

My first time visiting a Greenhalghs bakery as they don’t have any local to me. Upon entering I found it very clean and tidy. The lady on the counter was very polite. I ordered a cheese and jalapeño pasty this was nice and warm and was very delicious with a nice little kick from the jalapeños, it was well worth £2.35 in my opinion. If I’m ever in the area again I think I will definitely call again to try something else.
This is a good small businesses with a good choice of products for sale at very good prices. The staff who work here are very friendly, polite and professional.
Really friendly staff and very chatted.

Amazing bakery, they supplied the cupcakes for our wedding. We were involved every step of the way, flavours, sizes, decorations and presentation. We were able to offer our guest “regular”, vegan and gluten free options. Specifically the gluten free cakes went down a storm with out coeliac friends who normally have to pass on the cakes.
We had Baked by Brews’s delicious cake and savory food for our friend’s birthday party and we’ve got them booked for another friend’s wedding. Highly recommend choosing them for your next event 🙌😋
Having visited Brew Café many times when in Lancaster visiting family, we were delighted to hear of the new mail order service.
